We’ve been coming to two classes with Mickey, Silver Sneaker Classic and Healthy Back, and we’ve noticed more flexibility and improved balance. Mickey’s knowledge in muscle function and care for his students makes us feel confident in recommending him for anyone looking to feel better as they age.
I’ve only been coming to Silver Sneakers for a short time, but Mickey is different. He is very patient and concerned about our safety. He gives us memory challenges. I would definitely recommend others to work with Mickey.
When I do not attend Mickey’s class, it is more difficult to deal with the troubling aspects of Parkinson’s. Mickey’s energy level and persistence in demonstrating each exercise and how it helps people with Parkinson’s comes across as genuine. Regardless of class size, Mickey approaches each individual’s needs masterfully.
Mickey has taken great care to educate himself about Parkinson’s to evolve himself to create a class that is meaningful, challenging, and productive to those with the disease. He takes great care to explain the goal of each exercise so we can maximize its benefits. He is positive, empathetic, and passionate about our well being.
Mickey brings enthusiasm and personal attention, cooperation and collaboration; he both challenges and encourages us. Mickey has the best qualities that one looks for: knowledge, professionalism, and human interest.
Mickey’s class is more age related than others, the hour spent in Silver Sneakers is invigorating, motivating, and enjoyable. Mickey has a great personality and he’s fun to work with, along with being knowledgeable in his field.
Mickey makes exercise fun, works our brains as well as our bodies, and appreciates the concerns, problems, and risks as one gets older. He shows us how our class exercises help us with everyday events at home.
Mickey is always encouraging me. He is supportive and caring. He is patient and kind. This is important since I feel I am a slow learner who never exercised until I retired at age 70!
